About Geldik
Geldik is a phone app that alerts you as you approach your stop on public transport. This site brings together lines, stops, timetables and fares so you can plan your journey.
What is on the site?
- Directions: from A to B by metro, Marmaray, Metrobus, tram, bus, minibus, dolmuş and ferry; official departure times, transfers, fares and lifts out of service.
- Line and station pages: 24 lines and 325 stations with stop lists, first and last services, frequency, transfers and busy hours.
- Fares, ferries, places and guides to Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
How do we compile information?
- From official sources: İBB Open Data, Metro İstanbul, İETT, İstanbulkart, TCDD and the Ministry of Transport. Next to each piece of information we show its source and the date we checked it. All sources
- Nothing made up: where we cannot verify something (e.g. Marmaray and M11 fares), we do not fill it with a guess; we say plainly that it could not be verified.
- Live and lasting information kept apart: breakdowns and disruptions load fresh when you open the page; fares and timetables are rebuilt whenever they change.
- We fix mistakes: if you spot something wrong, let us know.
Geldik is not an official site and has no connection with İBB, Metro İstanbul, İETT, TCDD or İstanbulkart. Announcements and signs at the station always take precedence. Line symbols and logos (Marmaray, Metrobus etc.) are trademarks of their operators and are used only to identify the lines.
